Each pen is limited to 199 pieces and features the initials "GA" on the cap and a rhodium-and-ruthenium-plated solid 18-karat gold nib. The barrels are hand-turned to create individual and unique rippled patterns on each pen, which are then covered by nine layers of translucent enamel and embellished with a choice of either natural or ruthenium plated sterling silver trim. $3,114

Giorgio Armani Pens are available now at Giorgio Armani boutiques and Tibaldi stores worldwide.

Read | Permalink | Email this | Comments

Conway Stewart's 'The Evolution' Pen

The latest pen from Conway Stewart features technology that took 3 years to develop: it can shift its weight from front to back to suit the individual's writing style. The design was inspired by Countess Ottilie's private salon in the Faber-Castell castle, which has 100-year-old panelling in luxurious East Indies satinwood. The pen's herringbone pattern comes from the Countess's writing desk. There are no fewer than 84 Satinwood rectangles on the pen and they are all individually handcrafted The barrel is repeatedly polished and varnished. The numbered edition is crowned by a chessboard-facted citrine gemstone. But he has just signed another big advertising deal, this time for Sharpie pens. The 1010 Limited Edition fountain pen takes its name from ten minutes past ten (10:10), the moment when the hands on a watch dial are perfectly balanced. The pen body is designed to resemble watch gears and is made of rhodium-coated silver. Two cages, one decorated with gear wheels, and the other with the bridges that link them, are fitted over a transparent body. The cap is inspired by watch crowns and the clip resembles a watch hand and is attached to a pinion. The piston pump set with a ruby and a sapphire crystal dome at the bottom tip of the pen containing a balance wheel poised between two rubies. The pen comes in a black lacquered box with a glass bottle containing blue-black ink and a palladium-plated silver stopper. The pen is a limited edition of 500 and sells for $19,000.

Read | Permalink | Email this | Comments

Montblanc Prince Rainier III Limited Edition 81 Pen

The Montblanc pen shown above was displayed on Thursday night in Monaco at a VIP charity gala honoring Prince Rainier III of Monaco and attended by his son Prince Albert and a bevy of beauties that included Helena Christiansen and Eva Green. The Prince Rainier III Limited Edition 81is limited to only 81 pieces (Rainier was 81 when he died in 2005). Half of the sales of the been will go to the Foundation Princess Grace. The pen is a skeletonized fountain-pen of 18K white gold decorated with diamonds and ruby-studded lozenges to mimic the red-white lozenges on the shield of the Grimaldi coat of arms. It includes 996 diamonds cut with facets and 92 rubies which form a network that inner workings of the writing instrument can be seen through. 19 more rubies surround the clip ring on the cap and the 18K gold nib is set with two rubies. The pen is worth 200,000 euros.

Read | Permalink | Email this | Comments

Robb Report Limited Edition Series

Filed under: Apparel, Jewelry, Journeys, Services, Timepieces, Water, Wine, Wings, Writing Instruments, Holiday Guides, Preferred

The cream of the crop is officially all in one spot as the Robb Report, a global luxury source, recently released their limited edition series of rare items and unforgettable trips. The pens each have a sunburst design on the cap with a midnight blue enamel pen which is decorated with stars and the four phases of the moon. The pen cap comes in five different colors, white, blue, red, gold and white. Each pen is made of 18K gold and .925 sterling silver and enamel and is created in an intricate process that involves many hours of handcrafting. The pen's filling system accommodates a cartridge, converter or eyedropper fill and a roller ball version of the Celestial Pen is also available. There are 88 of each pen style created and they sell for $4,500 each.

%Gallery-8923%

Read | Permalink | Email this | Comments

Dransfield & Ross Crocodile Pencils

Remember when pencils were made out of wood and cost about $2 for a box of 20? Overall Wihaib hopes to raise £350,000 from the sale, to be put towards Iraqi schools.

Personally I don't care what the reason, I wouldn't buy that creep's stuff for any amount of money.

Read | Permalink | Email this | Comments

Lepine Free Ride Pen

How's this for a wild pen? This is the Free Ride from Jean Pierre Lepine. The Free Ride's race-car-like curves are designed to be ergonomic and fun. The ballpoint pen uses a rubber like material to cushion the areas where finger meets pen. This odd-looking pen is available in blue, orange, red, yellow, green or the chrome shown here. The pen sells at Joon for $152.

Read | Permalink | Email this | Comments

Omas Marte Pen

The gorgeous pen shown here is the latest from Omas, a celebration of the red planet, Mars. The pen's rose gold surface has been crafted to serve as a map of the planet, with deserts, mountains and craters. The frozen caps of the planet are done in a cluster of two-carats-worth of diamonds clustered on the pen cap and the base of the pen. Four small rubies on the pen celebrate the four landing points of Martian probes. It also comes in a Mars-shaped box.

[via Sybarites]

Read | Permalink | Email this | Comments

Montblanc Marlene Dietrich Commemoration Edition pen

Dedicated to actress and singer Marlene Dietrich, this beautiful Marlene Dietrich Commemoration Edition fountain pen from Montblanc is available in a limited edition of 1,901. The cap and barrel are made of 925 Sterling Silver with a fine barley guilloche. On the cap a blue mother-of-pearl inlay houses the Montblanc signet, as well as a single deep blue sapphire (reminiscent of Dietrich's eyes) and 22 brilliant cut diamonds. It also has a platinum-plated 18k gold nib with delicate engraving and a heart-shaped hole. And of course there's an engraving of Marlene Dietrich's signature on the barrel ring.

Via Retro to Go

Read | Permalink | Email this | Comments
